(AP: Michael Zags)Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) will offer a $29.99 paperback edition of the Brother printer, the first time the company has offered such a product outside of the U.K. or Canada.
The Brother 5, a small, inexpensive and high-end printer, is part of the company’s “Brother” line of printers.
It is a family of printers that use inkjet technology to print on flexible plastic sheets.
It is the latest addition to Amazon’s offerings, which include the Kindle Fire, Kindle Paperwhite and Fire TV, and the Kindle app for smartphones and tablets.
The new printer will be available for purchase beginning Feb. 13.
Amazon is offering a digital version of the book in a hardcover and a digital edition in a digital bookstore.
The company said the Brother 5 can print both black and white, and it can print any color from black to yellow.
It can print on high-quality paper, paperboard, polyester or a variety of paper materials.
Amazon also said the printer can print in a wide range of color depths, including red, blue, yellow, green, black and blue, and is capable of printing in any color for a wide variety of applications.
Amazon said the print shop will sell the printer on Feb. 10.
The company is selling a limited number of the printer for $29 a copy.
The Amazon store will also be offering the Brother for $30 a copy in the store, the company said.
The price is the same as the printer’s price on Amazon.
The printer is expected to ship on March 13.
Amazon’s Brother 5 is a $39.99 version of its current printer, and was launched in September 2016.
The new model is aimed at people who work in the printing industry and is intended for home and business printers.
The Brother 5 has a resolution of 5,024 x 3,536 pixels, which makes it one of the sharpest printers on the market, the manufacturer said.
